Sports Massage
Sports Massage is designed to enhance athletic performance and recovery. The focus of each session differs both before and after events. Pre-event massage is fast-paced, stimulating, and helps to establish blood flow and warm the muscles. During post-event massage the intent is to calm the nervous system and begin the process of flushing toxins and waste products from the body. This technique can often speed and improve the quality of healing and reduce recovery time, enabling an athlete to resume training much sooner than rest alone would allow. Sessions are usually performed with the athlete fully clothed.

Precautions
Sports Massage is not recommended for people with these conditions:
• Infectious skin disease, rash, or open wounds
• Immediately after surgery
• Those prone to blood clots
• Osteoporosis - Consult your doctor first
• Pregnant women, unless recommended by your doctor
• Immediately after chemotherapy or radiation, unless recommended by your doctor
